What?! Surely not for Zac Efron…

For a man like Zac, who is basically the whole package, dating shouldn’t be a problem. Many women all over the world would give up their ovaries to date someone like him.

Still, the 24-year-old actor admits that he finds the whole dating thing extremely difficult.

When Ellen DeGeneres asked him if he was dating anyone at the moment during his recent appearance on her show, Zac replied:

“I’m not.”

This response, obviously, was met with the cacophony of excited screams from the largely female audience.

The talk show host then asked him what a perfect first date for him would be like, and he said:

“Dating is kind of hard … I think like dinner or something like that, like a forced awkward, intimate situation is very strange. Especially for me, for some reason. So, I like to go and do something adventurous. I like to go out and do some sort of crazy activity.”

The Paperboy star also explained that, being a famous person, it’s hard to meet people and have a genuine relationship with them. He shared:

“You know, you always have to be careful, I guess, about that kind of thing … but every day is a new experience and I take it as it comes. Some people I worry about, some I really don’t have to.”

It’s very hard to believe that a guy like Zac would have trouble meeting women, but it does kind of make sense, considering the fact that his list of girlfriends (that we know of) is relatively short … There’s just his former High School Musical co-star, Vanessa Hudgens, whom he dated for five years, and Lily Collins, whom he had a brief fling with earlier this year.

Hang in there, Zac. You’re too gorgeous to be single!
