Did Taylor Swift and Harry Styles Really Break Up?

Haylor

Just two months after they were first seen together, country music star Taylor Swift and One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles have reportedly split following an argument in the British Virgin Islands. The pair were spotted spending New Year’s Day in Necker Island, a private island owned by billionaire Richard Branson.

Taylor and Harry were said to have had a big ‘row,’ which may explain why the country singer suddenly left the island by herself on January 4. Obviously, the One Direction heartthrob stayed behind. Apparently, what they had planned to be a happy holiday ended in tears. Reportedly, Harry is very upset about this. Although there has been no official confirmation from both parties, this looks like it: split.

On Tuesday, Taylor Swift put on a brave face as she emerged to visit a friend. It was the first time she was spotted around LA after her sudden solo exit from Necker Island.

Do you think Taylor and Harry are never ever getting back together?

Harry Styles Doesn’t Have the OK from Taylor Swift’s Dad?

Taylor Swift and Harry Styles

This sounds serious. One Direction’s Harry Styles has been dating Taylor Swift for sometime now and apparently, Taylor’s dad, Scott Kingsley Swift, didn’t waste any time to have a man-to-man talk with his daughter’s boyfriend. Mr. Swift reportedly told Harry: “Don’t break my daughter’s heart.”

British tabloid The Sun also reported that a source said that Mr. Swift actually likes Harry but he’s not looking for grandchildren anytime soon.

The source said:

“He likes Harry but he wants them to slow down and take things easy. It’s clear to everyone they are smitten with one another and already talking about marriage. He doesn’t want them to split up as fast as they’ve got together and for Taylor to end up devastated.”

Chill, Mr. Swift. The boy is only 18!

Do you think the man-to-man talk was a bit much or was it necessary? Thoughts?

Lyrics Decoded: Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well” Written for Ex Jake Gyllenhaal

Looks like we’ve decoded another song of Taylor Swift’s!

The country singer dated actor Jake Gyllenhaal about 2 years ago, and in her newest album, Red, she reveals a little bit about the short romance. According to a source, one of her songs, “All Too Well” is indeed about the actor.

In Good Morning America, Taylor Swift shared that Red is her most “adventurous album yet.” She also told the host that particularly, “All Too Well” was a bit tedious to write. She admitted:

” ‘All Too Well’ was the hardest to write because it took me a long time to filter through everything I wanted to say. It started out being a 10-minute song, which you can’t put on an album. I had to filter it down to a story that could work in the form of a song.”

In the mentioned song, she reminisces on her 2010 Thanksgiving celebration with the 31-year-old actor, stating that they spent the holiday in Maggie Gyllenhaal’s (Jake’s sister) house in Brooklyn, New York.

Swift has found writing songs about her failed relationships a soothing pastime. According to the source:

“It’s safe for her and it’s something she loves. She goes back to it because it’s something she’s good at—and she’s not good at love.”

Well, let’s see what happens now!

Taylor Swift Doesn’t Know Much About Love

Seems like Taylor Swift’s all over the place nowadays!

Just a couple days ago, it was confirmed that the 22-year-old country babe and Conor Kennedy have indeed split up. And although another source argues that the two have “quietly parted ways a while ago,” Swift decides to talk about her other famous exes on Katie, Katie Couric’s talk show. When the host tried asking the singer if any of her exes tried to communicate with her, she answered:

“Well, some of them like to write really long emails.”

Despite that, the We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together singer is still going to write songs about them! She even shared that she writes songs when she’s really angry. She joked:

“I just put them on my albums.”

The newly single crooner also revealed that being in the limelight has made it hard for her to maintain relationships.

“I don’t know how to have a normal relationship because I try to act normal, love from a normal place and live a normal life, but there is sort of an abnormal magnifying glass, like telescope lens, on everything that happens between me and anybody else. I don’t really know that much about love, it turns out.”

Taylor Swift: Drunk Dialing, BFFs, and More

Looks like T. Swift’s phone must be out of reach when she’s drunk!

In an interview she recently had with British newspaper The Sun, Taylor Swift, 22, admitted that she has a lot of famous friends on her contacts, which can be both a blessing and a curse. For one, the most high-profile celeb she currently has on her phone is Gwyneth Paltrow, 40. She explains:

“But it means I have a strict rule that I don’t have my phone on me when I drink!”

Just recently, she got starstruck when she met English pop star Ellie Goulding at The Jonathan Ross Show. The CoverGirl spokeswoman shares in awe:

“She’s so cool. Plus, she sang at the royal wedding.”

Although her BFFs include Emma Stone and Selena Gomez, Taylor also shares that her friends’ statuses don’t matter that much to her.

“I have friends from all fields — people who are in school, actresses and singers.”

She tells of her bonding times with her besties,

“It’s surprising how we don’t talk shop. You’d think we’d get together and discuss the stresses of fame but we actually just talk about boys like all the other girls. We don’t run through each other’s scripts or compare set lists.”

Currently, the country-pop singer is promoting her newest album, Red, which is in stores now. The Pennsylvania native shares of her younger years:

“When I brought out my first album at 16, my biggest fear was that no one would ever hear it. Now I feel really lucky as it’s guaranteed there will be loud opinions on it. Now my concerns are that those opinions are good.”
