One of the most respected and loved American Idol judges for the past two seasons could be missing from the next edition of the hit reality singing competition.

According to reports, Jennifer Lopez may have to miss her chance to be a judge on American Idol next season due to her busy schedule. Starting this summer, the 42-year-old American singer/actress is set to do a series of high-profile concert tours with Enrique Iglesias in South America and the U.S.

Lopez is also set to embark on an overseas world tour in the fall and will be on the road until at least the end of the year. With her busy schedule, many doubt she will be back on American Idol next season.

Lopez has yet to officially bid farewell to American Idol, but her recent statements to the media seem to indicate she is indeed leaving the show. She said in media interviews that she wants to do other things, but her American Idol stint is preventing her from doing so because of the show’s tight schedule. American Idol fans hope Lopez will still be back on the show next season.
