Suri Cruise Arrives for First Day of School

Summer is kinda over, and surely Suri Cruise is not exempted from some reading, writing, and counting.

The daughter of ex-couple Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes was seen on the way to her new school for the first day of classes at Avenues, a rather sophisticated private institution in the Chelsea district of New York City.

The toddler arrived with her mommy in a cardigan and a white shirt. Her outfit was accessorized with a pink hair bow, which looked really well with her cheetah-print backpack.

Well, what can we say? It’s Suri Cruise, after all. Nothing but the best for the Princess of New York, eh?

Katie Holmes Meets Up with Jeremy Strong in New York

Looks like Katie Holmes has long moved on!

The actress, 33, was spotted in New York over the weekend with actor, Jeremy Strong. Strong is Katie’s former co-star in her 2010 movie, The Romantics. 

Holmes wore a beige blouse and a short printed skirt, and she seemed to be happy as she walked together with Strong. Although, a source spills that:

“They’re totally just friends and have been since The Romantics.”

According to some sources, the duo spent an afternoon watching an off-Broadway production titled If You Haven’t Found It Yet, which starred Jake Gyllenhaal. Adds the source about Holme’s and Strong’s friendship:

“He’s very plugged in to the New York theater scene and is showing her the ropes.”

Meanwhile, Katie is set to get back on the stage for the first time in almost four years. She is also scheduled to launch her first collection from her clothing line, Holmes and Yang, at the New York Fashion Week with her business and design partner, Jeanne Yang.

Wow, sounds like Katie is really busy!

Russell Crowe Gets Stuck in Long Island; Gets a Lift from Coast Guard

Looks like Russell Crowe got lost!

The actor went kayaking in Long Island, New York, over the weekend with his personal trainer, Chris Feather. They seemed to have enjoyed kayaking so much that they only started to head ashore when it was already getting dark . The U.S. Coast Guard, which happened to be patrolling the area, heard Crowe, 48, when he called out to the team at around 10pm EST, according to U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer Robert Swieciki. The Aussie actor and his friend then tried to paddle to where the Coast Guard team was and were helped onboard.  Swieciki explained to the press:

“He just needed a little bit of help. He just got a little lost. It wasn’t really a rescue, really, more of just giving someone a lift.”

Well, it’s good that he’s safe now!

Alicia Keys Celebrates 2nd Wedding Anniversary with Husband Swizz Beatz

And they still live happily ever after!

Last July 31, Alicia Keys and hubby Swizz Beatz celebrated their 2nd wedding anniversary in the “concrete jungle where dreams are made of”: New York! Of course, the loving couple didn’t keep it private; they shared pics of their special day to their Twitter followers! Keys, 31, tweeted a photo of her and Beatz, 33, standing outside the Apollo theater, captioning it:

At midnight we brought in our anniversary under the lights that inspired us both! Just Like Teenage Love.

Later on, Beatz shared a photo of his wife with the caption “Goddess!”. In the pic, Keys is sipping from a glass of wine while she relaxingly sits in what appears to be the Boathouse resto near Central Park.

The couple married on July 31, 2010 before their close family and friends in a private home by the Mediterranean Sea. Now, the two are parents of one, Egypt, who was born on October 14, 2010.

Congrats, you two!

Katie Holmes Spotted on a Date and Kissing a Mystery Man on the Cheek

Katie Holmes seems to be moving on faster than her ex-hubby!

Just a month after the Romantics actress, 33, filed for divorce from her husband of almost six years, Tom Cruise, the newly single mom was seen out and about in NYC with a mystery man last July 27.

The Ohio native was also spotted dining with the man, and when the two exited the restaurant, Holmes kissed the man’s cheek before bidding goodbye and hailing herself a cab. On her way out, the paparazzi caught up with her and she admitted to have had a “great” evening.

Okay, there’s nothing wrong with going out when you’re single. Why didn’t the unnamed man drive her home, though?
