Matt Bomer Rumored to Play Christian Grey on the Big Screen

Matt Bomer

Is Matt Bomer officially Christian Grey?

An Entertainment Weekly cover showcasing the Magic Mike actor with a headline, “Fifty Shades of Grey: The Wait is Over” leaked to the Internet. While the photo looks convincing, the cover is nothing but a hoax—at least, for now.

The fan-photoshopped photo also reads:

Matt Bomer talks about changing the white collar for a grey tie.

It was implying that Bomer has closed the deal on being the on-screen Christian Grey, the mysterious but handsome millionaire with a liking for whips and chains in E.L. James’ bestselling book 50 Shades of Grey.

For now, the movie casting is still a wishful thinking, filmmakers say. Dana Brunetti, one of the co-producers of the much-anticipated film adaptation, tweeted her response to the speculations:

All of the rumors on #FiftyShades are just that – rumors. No one has been cast in any role. We have to get a writer and director first.

Guess it was nothing but a false alarm, ladies! Now, calm down.

Christian Bale Visits Aurora, Colorado Shooting Victims

Christian Bale

Seems like those Facebook “likes” and “shares” are worth the click!

After a Facebook sharing/liking campaign asking Christian Bale to visit the shooting victims went around the site shortly after the Colorado theater shooting, The Dark Knight Rises star didn’t hesitate to make it come true.

Warner Brothers officials confirmed Tuesday last week that the Oscar-winning actor, 38, was in Aurora, Colorado visiting and paying respect to the victims of the horrifying incident. They said in a statement:

Mr. Bale is there as himself, not representing Warner Brothers.

Shortly after the theater shooting that took 12 lives and injured 58 people, fans created a Facebook campaign requesting Bale to visit the hospitalized victims. The campaign read:

Dear Christian Bale, please visit the injured children from the movie massacre as Batman. You have the power to be a hero right now — not a movie hero, a real flesh and blood one. Sincerely, Everyone.

Maybe superheroes are real, after all.
