Seems like the duo is back!
Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, former writing partners and definitely best buds, are back working together! The actors, who won a “Best Original Screenplay” Oscar thanks to 1997’s Good Will Hunting, were seen going to a business meeting together in Sta. Monica, Calif.
In October of last year, GQ reported that the stars were planning to join forces to make a movie out of the story of Whitey Bulger, the legendary Boston mobster.
In this first project they’re doing together after almost 15 years, Affleck is set to direct, while Damon is rumored to star. According to sources, screenwriter Terence Winter is set to write the script.
But even if it’s been quite a while since they’ve collaborated publicly, the two have stayed as close as they can be. Affleck revealed to The Hollywood Reporter:
“[Matt and I] see each other almost too often. I wonder if his wife is thinking, ‘Is he really going to come over every night?’”
Well, seems like Affleck and Damon fans have something to be excited about!
