Marc Anthony is Next ‘X Factor US’ Mentor

Looks like former couple, American singing superstar Jennifer Lopez and Latino singing superstar Marc Anthony, love to be part of reality singing competitions.

After Lopez’s stint on American Idol, Anthony will be part of X Factor US. According to reports, the hit TV show will have the Latino superstar as a mentor. He will serve as the right-hand man of British superstar judge Simon Cowell.

Anthony will help Cowell pick his finalists for his category. This early, fans of the 45-year-old singer are already very excited for the new season of X Factor US.

Anthony and Lopez separated in July 2011, and Anthony filed for divorce in April.

Having Marc Anthony as a mentor will surely boost the ratings of X Factor even higher!

Marc Anthony Files for Divorce from Jennifer Lopez

If you thought there was a chance for a reconciliation for Marc Anthony and wife, Jennifer Lopez, you are sadly mistaken. The Latin singer just filed for divorce from Jennifer on Monday (April 9), taking the first step in dissolving his marriage from J-Lo. Marc cited the ever popular “irreconcilable differences” and lists the separation date as “to be determined” even though Jennifer and him have been officially separated since July, with Jennifer even moving on to her new beau, dancer Casper Smart.

Marc Anthony Debuts Girlfriend on Red Carpet

Seems like the battle of the two exes between “American Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony is on even terms now, that Marc finally has his own girlfriend to show after their split.

Marc Anthony brought along with him his new girlfriend Shannon de Lima at the red carpet just earlier tonight at the 47th Annual Country Music Awards in Las Vegas. Like Jlo, her ex also chose a much younger partner.

March has been keeping a low profile since the breakup, and since they started dating with her new ladylove. They posted photos on Twitter though and was spotted together on a tattoo parlor before but never did the couple appeared in public for all to see until now.

Jennifer Lopez was spotted holding hands with her much younger boyfriend, Casper Smart, while existing a building in New York City on Monday (January 30), further confirming that she is still very much moving on from her marriage to Marc Anthony. Rumors have been swirling that Jennifer and Marc were headed for a reconcilliation after becoming close again on their recent television project.

Doubtful by the looks of this.

JLo and Marc Anthony Reunite for Work

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are really good exes. Unlike most couples who are divorcing, JLo and Marc are still very much in contact and working on a project together. The duo reunited on the red carpet for the premier of their new reality competition – Q’Viva! – The Chosen on Saturday (January 14).

The parents to Emme and Max kept a very comfortable, open body language sitting next to one another onstage in director’s chairs. Singer, designer and American Idol judge Lopez happily tapped her ex on the arm and gestured toward him during one point in the discussion. Later in the chat, Anthony responded in kind, tapping his ex’s left hand to point our her flashy rings.

What was it like working with Anthony again? “Same as it was any other time we worked together,” Lopez told reporters. “We have a great time working together.”

Too bad outside of work, the duo are in the middle of a nasty divorce and custody battle.
