No one knows that better than Kristen.

The “Twilight” star recently landed herself in the middle of a huge scandal after she was caught cheating on her boyfriend Robert Pattinson with her “Snow White and the Huntsman” director, Rupert Sanders.

Since Sanders is almost 20 years her senior, and married to boot, Stewart bore most of the brunt of the public’s disgust over the affair, and she was called everything from a “homewrecker” to a “trampire.”

But it’s been almost three months since the scandal broke out, and people have mostly forgotten about the whole thing. Unfortunately, Kristen herself unwittingly brought it back to the forefront of people’s minds when she said in a recent interview that an actor’s success is closely related to their relationships with their directors.

Good job. Open mouth, insert foot.

Kristen said in an interview with Movies.ie:

“I rely, really very heavily, on the director/actor relationship, and I like that about myself.”

The actress continued:

“I find that if you don’t have a good relationship with an actor you rely on the director, if you don’t have a good relationship with a director, rely on your actor.”

She then explained why she thinks it’s important to have this good “director/actor relationship”:

“You are never going to hate everyone. I usually try not to fixate on it, and it’s easy to do, especially with me because one little thing is wrong and I am like ‘Leeeeeeave the set!’ but that will ruin everything.”

The “On The Road” star also talked about what she looks for in a role before she accepts it. She said:

“I don’t look for anything. It’s a very odd thing to pretend to be someone else and let people watch you do that. It really takes something special and I never know what that is until I find it.”

Kristen added:

“I have no desire to… this sounds so pretentious, but I don’t want to be in the entertainment industry, movies can be pretty important if you want them to be, and it’s the only time I feel like it’s worth doing such a ridiculous thing as acting in a film.”
