If you thought Jessica Simpson and Nicole Richie hated each other, you thought wrong. The two friends (and “Fashion Star” co-judges) were spotted lunching together with their traveling companions – Jess with sister Ashlee and her new man, Vincent Piazza, and Nicole with bestie, Sam Ronson – in Los Cabos, Mexico on Sunday.
Ashlee Simpson Defends Her Sister
Amidst the continual flack that Jessica Simpson takes about her image, her sis Ashlee has come to her defense.
“My sister has an incredible body. I feel sorry for anyone who would judge her, because she’s one sexy lady. It’s disgusting that people would say those things.”
I really think the only reason Jessica gets crap is because she dated Tony Romo. I mean, he’s a total jackass and you could tell they were never really into each other from the start.
Jessica Simpson Is Back With John Mayer
Jessica Desperate Simpson has reportedly hooked up with John Mayer yet again:

Ignoring her friends’ warnings that the notorious player will just use her and then break up with her again, Jessica has jumped headfirst into a relationship with the singer now that she and Tony, 29, split. “Jessica is kidding herself that her and John stand a chance,” says a source.
John Mayer Preferred Jessica Simpson was Seen and Not Heard when they dated…
Back when they were dating, John Mayer felt Jessica Simpson should be seen and not heard. He liked the way Jessica looked but wasn’t really interested in what she had to say. If fact he would rather her not say anything.
“John used to tell Jess all the time, ‘I’m really attracted to your spiritual side,’ ” a friend tells us. “He’d tell her that every time she opened her mouth to speak. It was a nice way of basically saying, ‘Just sit there and be pretty, and don’t ruin it with talk.’ The sad thing is she started to tell people, ‘I’m working on being more spiritual,’ and then just sit there quietly.”
I mean I can’t completely blame John Mayer for this. Back when Nick and Jessica were on “Newlyweds” and were out having a romantic dinner, there were a few times she ruined the mood for me. They would be in a beautiful place enjoying the scene and then she would come out and say the dumbest f’ing thing.
