Hugh Jackman Gets His Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

It’s an official stamp from Hollywood.

A beaming Hugh Jackman received his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday. Long overdue, we say. The Australian actor looked exactly the hunk that he is in a blue suit and light blue shirt.

He burst into the scene in the first X Men movie, and his star had been shining on ever since. We haven’t recovered from that first look at Wolverine.

Hugh Jackman isn’t only an actor but also a dancer, singer, and a philanthropist. He has received and has been nominated for countless awards. On Thursday, he snagged his latest acting nod from the Golden Globes for his role as ex-prisoner Jean Valjean in Les Misérables, a big-screen adaptation of the musical based on Victor Hugo’s epic masterpiece.

Attending the ceremony to show moral support were Hugh’s wife of 16 years, Deborra-Lee Furness and children Oscar and Ava. Also present were Hugh’s lovely Les Misérables co-stars, Anne Hathaway and Amanda Seyfried, who are everywhere these days promoting their film (and dishing out different interesting outfits!).

Hugh Jackman looked thrilled.  Finally!

What more can we say? Congrats, Mr. Jackman!

Hugh Jackman’s Painful Secrets

Australian Women’s Weekly

Seems like even celebrities have their fair share of painful secrets!

In the latest issue of Australian Women’s Weekly, Hugh Jackman shared some secrets about himself. As the mag’s cover story, the actor, 44, opened up about how he felt when his mom, Grace Watson, left him when he was just 8 years old. According to Hugh, his mom went to the U.K. and only told their family about it through telegram.

The Les Miserables star recalled:

“One of the main things I remember is that horrible feeling that people were talking about you and looking at you because it was odd for the mother to leave.

The actor also shared that it wasn’t until he was “12 or 13” that he realized his mother would never come back home. After his parents divorced, Jackman’s sisters, Sonia and Zoe, fled to England, too, to live with their mom. Meanwhile, Hugh and his other siblings, Ralph and Ian, stayed in Australia to live with their dad.

Even though his mother just left them suddenly, Hugh never questioned how she felt for him.

“The thing I never felt — and I know this might sound strange — I never felt that my mum didn’t love me. I’ve spoken about it at length with her since and I know she was struggling. She was in hospital after I was born suffering from post-natal depression. There wasn’t a support network for her here.”

He also shared that once he got married and became a father of two, he was finally able to forgive his mom.

“There comes a certain point in life when you have to stop blaming other people for how you feel or the misfortunes in your life. You can’t go through life obsessing about what might have been.”

X-Man Spends Time Down Under With Family

Hollywood hunk Hugh Jackman spent quality time with his wife and kids at a beach in Sydney, Australia.

Jackman took time off from his busy and tight schedule to swim and have fun with his family at Bondi Beach. The 43-year-old actor looked very happy and relaxed. Showing his muscular physique, he taught his son Oscar and daughter Ava how to body board.

Jackman is currently shooting several movies which will be released soon.

It’s always nice to see Tinseltown celebrities take time off from their busy schedule to spend quality time with their family!

Wolverine Bonds with Son in New York City

Hugh Jackman

Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman is one tough guy as Wolverine in the movies.

However, in real life, Wolverine is not quite as tough and displays a soft side with his family. Jackman recently took time off from his busy schedule to bond with his 12-year-old son, Oscar, in New York City.

According to reports, Jackman and his son strolled along the banks of the Hudson River in New York City with their pet dog. In media interviews Jackman has said that being a dad is not easy, but he is very happy to have been given the opportunity to be one.

He said one of the great things about being a father is playing around and cooking pancakes with his children on Sunday mornings. He also enjoys sitting down and watching a movie with his wife and children on Friday nights. Kudos to Jackman for being a good father, despite his tough schedule as an actor.
