Jim Carrey Spotted with a Mystery Woman at the Beach

Seems like Jim Carrey is having a good time!

The Mr. Popper’s Penguins actor was seen on the beach in Malibu early this week with a daring, bikini-clad brunette. The pair was seen walking along the beach and taking photos of themselves together. They also hung out at one of Carrey’s homes by the beach, which he apparently tried to sell in June for $13.5 million.

With this new girl in the picture, Jim might just want to withdraw his house from the market! The mystery girl hasn’t been named yet, nor has Carrey’s camp answered questions regarding it, but it sure looks like she’s much younger than the 50-year-old hunky actor.

Russell Brand Speaks About Failed Marriage With Katy Perry

Russell Brand, 37, appeared on his very first interview after finalizing divorce from Katy Perry last Wednesday. The actor meekly said:

 She’s a good person, I’ve got nothing but love for her.

He said of their wedding on October 23, 2010 in India:

I loved her so much, it just seemed like the sensible thing to do [when we got married] … I just loved her so much.

However, after 14 months, he realized that:

This isn’t really working out, it’s a difficult situation … I was really, really in love with her, but it was difficult to see each other … We were together when it was right to be together, and when it wasn’t we worked it out … It was a lovely relationship … it mostly didn’t work for practical reasons … We did work it out, she’s happy, I’m happy.

Alongside, he explained that their long distance relationship made it too difficult for the two.

 She’s young, successful and dedicated. The reality is you can’t fully understand it until you do it. I was really into the idea of marriage and having children.

He admitted that he and ex-wife Katy did talk about starting a family, but he refused to share any info about it.

I don’t want anything to hurt her. She’s younger than me, she’s a young woman and she’s beautiful and she’s sensitive and I care about her deeply … I don’t want to be too glib. She’ll read it and she’ll be sad and I don’t want that.

However, the star did admit that he is currently dating Isabella Brewster, actress Jordana Brewster’s younger sister.

Katy Perry and Russell Brand Officially Divorced

Katy Perry and Russell Brand are officially single and ready to mingle.

Although the couple’s divorce request was granted last February, they weren’t really single until last Monday, a newspaper confirms. According to California’s law, a divorce cannot be finalized until a minimum of six months has passed.

27-year-old Perry and 37-year-old Brand got hitched on October 23, 2010 in a traditional Indian ceremony. On December 30 last year, the British comedian blindsided the “Teenage Dream” singer by filing for divorce after just 14 months of being married. Perry admitted in her life movie Katy Perry: Part of Me:

Being in love is a dream, but the reality is not like the movies. There’s a lot more compromise and sacrifice.

In her attempt to make her marriage last, the hit singer would fly to wherever her husband was working just to be able to spend time with him. She told the camera:

I’m trying to keep my marriage alive.

When news of her divorce broke out, an obviously upset Perry said:

The truth is I’m a romantic and I believed in the fairy tale. . .I did everything I could but it still failed.  The dream of being in love is a lot different than the reality of making it work.

The former couple also had arguments over having a baby and starting a family of their own. Perry thinks that “a baby can’t have a baby” and she’s “still a baby,” while Brand thinks that he “feels there’s no point in being married if you don’t have kids.”

Finally, Brand told Ellen:

I still love her as a human being. But, sometimes when you’re in a relationship I suppose it doesn’t work out, does it? But that doesn’t mean I regret it or anything.

Ace Comedian Martin Lawrence Splits From Wife After 17 Years

Hollywood ace comedian Martin Lawrence may not be in a laughing mood these days.

After 17 years together, the 47-year-old funnyman recently split from his wife, Shamicka, 37. According to reports, the decision to end their marriage is mutual, and the former couple will continue to raise their two daughters, Amara, 9, and Iyana, 11, together.

Internet reports indicate the former couple married in 2010 after being together for 15 years. Before his relationship with Shamicka, Martin was previously married to Patricia Southall, a former Miss Virginia USA winner. He has a teenage daughter, Jasmine Page, from that marriage.

Separation in Hollywood is certainly nothing new. We wish both Martin and his former wife all the best on their decision to separate.
