Step up, Channing Tatum. You’re People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2012. We knew this would happen—all those muscles and all those dance moves would get him somewhere.
His physique philosophy:
“I like to be lean. If I get too bulky I can’t move well and I like to move…When I’m not training, I get really round and soft.”
The Alabama-born hottie joins the ranks of Hollywood male royalty—Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Denzel Washington, and the like. When you have a Sexiest title under your belt , you’ve become someone “untouchable,” or should we say someone “every girl wishes was touchable.”
This is despite the possibility that Ryan Gosling fans are going berserk now.
We might have seen it coming, but the 32-year-old G.I. Joe actor says he—as well as his wife, Jenna Dewan Tatum—didn’t believe it at first. He tells People in an interview:
“My first thought was, ‘Y’all are messing with me.’”
Now they’ve come around. Jenna calls him “Sexiest Man Alive.” What a beautiful endearment.
After charming us in Step Up, Magic Mike, G.I. Joe, and a host of other popular films, Channing Tatum is definitely someone nobody would send a “Dear John” (sad connotation emphasized) letter to.
There may be times when most of us don’t believe People picked the right guy, but for this year, we couldn’t agree more. He’s the Man!
