Giovanni Ribisi Marries British Model Agyness Deyn

One well-respected, Hollywood actor has recently joined the ranks of married celebrities.

According to reports, American actor Giovanni Ribisi has married his British model girlfriend, Agyness Deyn, in Los Angeles. Ribisi, 37, and Deyn, 29, were reportedly very happy and sweet towards each other during their surprise wedding.

It was learned that only a few people knew the pair was getting married. Before his marriage, Ribisi recently broke up with his long-term girlfriend, Chan Marshall, a singer who is better known by the name Cat Power, whom he had been dating since 2009.

The couple has been living with his 14-year-old daughter, Lucia, in his Los Angeles home. Deyn, who appeared in the hit film Clash of the Titans in 2010, previously dated The Strokes guitarist, Albert Hammond, Jr., and Phantom Planet’s front man, Alex Greenwald. We wish the newly married couple all the best in their new life together.

Brave Takes Top Spot in Weekend Box Office Race

Looks like animated films are the favorite movies of consumers in North American cinemas.

Disney’s new animated princess film, Brave, was the winner of the weekend box office race in North America. According to reports, Brave earned $66.7 million domestically to take the top spot in the tough race for films being shown in the United States and Canada last week.

Brave, which features a voice cast led by Kelly Macdonald and Emma Thompson, is a story about a young, Scottish princess who defies the tradition that requires her to marry against her will. Box office experts said many people around the world seem to be hooked on animated films, as this is the genre that keeps winning at the box office.

Taking the second spot on the list was another animated film, Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted, which ruled the weekend box office race for the past two weeks. Madagascar 3 reportedly earned $20.2 million last week to place second on the list.

The third spot went to 20th Century Fox’s action tale, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, which earned $16.5 million. Unfortunately, the box office showing of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter was considered a disappointment since it was expected to win the weekend box office race.

With its strong box office showing in its first week, the producers of Brave hope their film will continue to earn more and hold on to its box office throne this week.

Madagascar 3 Rules Weekend Box Office Race Again

Madagascar 3 continued to rule the weekend box office in North American cinemas.

For the second straight week, Madagascar 3 took home the crown as the top-grossing film in the United States and Canada after earning a whopping $35.5 million last weekend. Box office experts said parents and their children are the main audience for the movie, which is the third installment in the wildly popular Madagascar series.

Madagascar 3 focuses on Alex the lion (Ben Stiller), Marty the zebra (Chris Rock), Melman the giraffe (David Schwimmer), and Gloria the hippo (Jada Pinkett Smith) as they continue trying to get back home to New York. This particular journey ends up taking them through Europe where they join a traveling circus.

Taking second place in the box office race was the sci-fi film, Prometheus, which earned $20.2 million last weekend. Prometheus, which is considered to be a prequel of the hit, sci-fi film series, is a huge hit with teenagers and adults.

The third spot on the list went to Rock of Ages starring Hollywood actor Tom Cruise, which earned a dismal $15.1 million last weekend. The $15.1 million is considered a dismal showing by experts because Cruise is a perennial box office draw, whose films are usually a hit with moviegoers.

Tobey Maguire Enjoys Life as an Actor and Father

Hollywood actor Tobey Maguire is enjoying his life as an actor and a married man.

Maguire, who became famous for portraying Spider-Man in three films, was recently seen enjoying Father’s Day with his wife, Jennifer Meyer, and their two children in Malibu, California. The actor was very happy as he bonded with his family while strolling through the beautiful Malibu area.

The actor is currently enjoying precious moments with his family after recently finishing his newest film, The Great Gatsby, in May. The movie, which is set to be released soon, also stars A-list actor Leonardo DiCaprio, who plays Jay Gatsby, a mysterious millionaire who becomes obsessed with Carey Mulligan’s character, Daisy Buchanan, after meeting her as a young officer in World War I. 

Sources report that Maguire is very happy as a husband and a father.

Wolverine Bonds with Son in New York City

Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman is one tough guy as Wolverine in the movies.

However, in real life, Wolverine is not quite as tough and displays a soft side with his family. Jackman recently took time off from his busy schedule to bond with his 12-year-old son, Oscar, in New York City.

According to reports, Jackman and his son strolled along the banks of the Hudson River in New York City with their pet dog. In media interviews Jackman has said that being a dad is not easy, but he is very happy to have been given the opportunity to be one.

He said one of the great things about being a father is playing around and cooking pancakes with his children on Sunday mornings. He also enjoys sitting down and watching a movie with his wife and children on Friday nights. Kudos to Jackman for being a good father, despite his tough schedule as an actor.
