Katherine Heigl Talks Adopting Again

Actress Katherine Heigl has been busy these days playing the most important role of her life – being a mother to her adopted daughter Naleigh, with husband, singer Josh Kelley. The couple adopted Naleigh from Korea, which was important to Katherine.

“Josh [Kelley] and I started talking about [adoption] before we were even engaged,” the 33-year-old One for the Money star told Scholastic Parent & Child’s February issue. “My sister Meg is Korean, and my parents adopted her three years before I was born. I wanted my own family to resemble the one I came from, so I always knew I wanted to adopt from Korea.”

But apparently Katherine’s husband needed a little bit of time to adjust to it.

“We have talked about having biological children as well, but we decided to adopt first,” Heigl explained. “I just wanted to be a mom. So however we did that, it’s fine with me. I’d like to adopt again.”

Heigl said Kelley “had to learn” to embrace the idea of adoption. “But he was so gracious and accepting.”

And now the actress admits, the couple wants to add to their family whether with their biological children or adopted ones again – they just want kids that are grounded.

As for what kind of kids Heigl and Kelley hope to raise? “We both have families who believe in character integrity and morality,” she said. “Not to be overindulged, to be respectful of parents. We feel strongly about these things, especially because of the industries we’re in. We’ll have to work a little bit harder to keep Naleigh grounded and to make sure she understands how blessed she is — how blessed we all are.”

Brian Austin Green Sues Ex-GF

90210 star Brian Austin Green, who is married to actress Megan Fox, is suing his ex-girlfriend and mother of his son, Kassius, Vanessa Marcil, to the tune of $200,000. According to a report, Brian filed papers in L.A. Court because he asked for Vanessa to return the money in 2011 – money he had lent her in 2000 when the couple dated. When Vanessa did not return the money, Brian brought the courts into it.

Green’s papers claim that he lent Marcil-Giovinazzi (they both starred in the original Beverly Hills, 90210 together) the bulk of the loans back in 2000. He finally asked his former love for repayment of the loans in November 2011, but to no avail.

The Wedding Band actor, 38, seeks repayment of all the money plus unspecified damages.

I just don’t understand why he waited 10 years to sue her.
