During his honeymoon, Jack Osbourne hurriedly came to aid a drowning woman in Hawaii. After being swarmed by “oddly and hostile fans” online after the incident, he doesn’t want to take all the honor of saving the woman’s life. After his wife Lisa Stelly tweeted about the happening, wherein Osbourne and his pal resuscitated the woman and never left her until the paramedics came, the newly hitched posted on his Facebook page that he wasn’t the only hero of that day. Osbourne – who is apparently trained in CPR and spent 5 years as a police reserve – wrote:
“I never said I was the sole contributor in the rescue. In fact, I haven’t said anything at all. The last thing I want to do is take all of the credit when in fact there were a few people who helped save her life.”
The 26-year-old Osbourne explained in detail how he and his friend, who’s a former Army operator, helped 5 other “Good Samaritans” in their attempt to revive the woman with direction from a neurosurgeon from Japan. He and his pal lifted the woman onto the spine board and took care of the chest compression. He added:
“During his attempt, I was holding the woman’s lifeless body so she wouldn’t fall from the moving vehicle. Tyler and I switched positions, and I straddled the woman in order to get the right amount of leverage for the chest compressions. Once we arrived, we waited for the EMT for approximately 4-6 minutes. During that time, I continued to administer chest compressions. As soon as the EMTs arrived, I backed away and let them take over.”
As he ends his post, Osbourne says that the woman is on the road to being fine. He ended:
“I hope she has a speedy recovery.”
