Happy 30th Birthday Britney Spears!

It seems impossible, but yes, pop star Britney Spears turns the big 30 today and looking back, she has come a long way. Although a little tame these days, Spears had her wild child moments, including dancing with a huge white snake, getting into a hot and legendary lip lock session with Madonna, shaving her head, going into rehab and many more. The singer also almost lost custody of her kids a while back.

However, things turn out ok for Britney Spears, who’s looking more matured and beautiful.

I really hope Lindsay Lohan learns from her.

So tell me, what’s your favorite Britney Spears wild child moment? Mine would be the kissing with Madonna. Afterall, anybody can shave their heads and go into rehab.

Ben Stiller Asks For Comedy Category at the Oscars

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, funny man Ben Stiller says that the true comedic measure is whether the viewers laugh or not. And I quote Mr. Stiller:

“I don’t think comedic people really take themselves seriously. And I think you have to have that attitude if you do comedy. Yes, we love to get critical praise and awards and all that stuff, but at the end of the day, when you’re making a comedy, people in the theater are either laughing or they’re not laughing. That’s the gauge that you have to go by. I learned that, really, on Tropic Thunder. No matter how great the production value is, how big the explosions are, no matter what, if they know they’re coming to a comedy, they want to laugh.”

When it comes to comedy, Stiller is seriously concerned about the lack of Oscars category related to the genre, let alone the awards itself.

“In terms of the Oscars, it’s just too bad that comedies don’t get recognized. It just seems like there’s this huge hole there where there’s no recognition for people who over the years — and this is for years and years, you know — have been doing such great work. So I don’t know if the solution is a new category or not. It’s great for comedies that the Globes exist in that way — that there’s more of an opening to see them get recognized. Though I don’t know if everybody feels like the musical and comedy category always should go together, I think it’s better than not having any recognition whatsoever for these people who really deserve it. It’s worth looking at, because there’s so many people doing so much good work.”

Come to think of it, it IS kind of funny when the Oscars are always hosted by a comedian and no comedy category in the awards. Do you agree with Ben Stiller? I know I do.

Hanson to Turn “MMMBop” into “MMMHop Beer”

Still hung up on the glorious 90s? Then maybe you remember the Hanson Brothers, teenage pop stars that delivered a huge hit titled “MMMBop” back in 1997. Now that Isaac, Taylor and Zac Hanson are off-age (and that we thought they’re over), they’re coming up with a merchandise idea: a beer brand titled “MMMHop”.

Zac Hanson tells his fans:

“We of course make records — they are fundamental to what we do. But we wanted to create a brand so that our fans have a greater experience.”

Don’t worry about cheesy merchandise, though. Hanson is cashing in on things other than dolls, lunchboxes or toothbrushes that play their songs. For now, it’s beer, people and will it be good? You’ll have to wait.

The Indian Pale Ale is planned to drop in early 2012.

The “Finally” Moment of The Decade: Jennifer Lopez to Release “GREATEST HITS ALBUM”

There are some singers who stays on top of the charts for three consecutive years and immediately release a ‘Greatest Hits’ compilation. But not J.Lo. Since her debut album “On The 6” in 1999, it’s just proper if she releases an album of her greatest hits. The album which I heard will feature songs like “If You Had My Love”, “I’m Real”, “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” and the more recent “On The Floor”, will be produced by vocal producer Kuk Harrell. He told MTV News:

“I just got the call a week ago that the greatest-hits album for Jennifer Lopez is coming up. Now I’m just waiting for them to put on the schedule [and] let me know what songs we’re actually cutting and stuff like that.”

I think the album is gonna be hot. Will you get it?

New Flirty Boy On The Block: Ashton Kutcher

Well well, you’d think he’s crying every night over his impending divorce from hot cougar Demi Moore. But nope, as the crew of “Two and a Half Men” talked about Ashton Kutcher flirty way with the ladies to E Online. The soon-to-be single again movie and TV star is even known for his flirtatious self even before he’s getting divorced.

What’s more important, I think, is how his coworkers in the series think about his ability to do comedy. According to a coworker on the set, A.K. is not as funny as Charlie Sheen.

“He’s just not as funny as Charlie. Not that we’d want Charlie back if you doubled our salaries.”

And to that, I’ll raise my glass and say a huge “OUCH” as a toast. Good luck there, Kutcher.
