Robert Downey, Jr. Got the Biggest Paycheck for The Avengers

Of all the stars in the box office hit, The Avengers, Hollywood superstar Robert Downey, Jr. is smiling the brightest.

According to reports, Downey, Jr. reportedly received the biggest paycheck, which reached as much as $50 million, for his role in the film. The 47-year-old Downey, Jr. made the most money after negotiating a good contract for the film.

Sources claim other stars who earned huge paychecks for various films include Johnny Depp, who is said to have made at least $250 million for making the four Pirates of the  Caribbean movies, and director Michael Bay, who took home $80 million for the first Transformers. Now that The Avengers is a huge success around the world, it would not be a surprise if Downey, Jr. were to make even more for the next installment in the series.

Downey, Jr., a certified box office gold mine, is one lucky dude.

Adele’s Vogue Magazine Cover is Not Selling Well

She might be one of the biggest singers in the world today, but, sadly, Adele is not that popular with the millions of Vogue readers.

According to reports, the copy of Vogue magazine featuring Adele on the cover is not selling well. Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman revealed the not-so-great news to the world through the company’s U.K. website at vogue.co.uk. Shulman said they discovered that music stars are not very popular among their typically fashion-oriented readers.

She said they initially thought Adele’s magazine cover would be a sure hit with their readers, but they were wrong. Adele’s Vogue cover might not be a success, but to her fans she remains a tremendous singer.

According to reports, superstar actress Angelina Jolie reportedly gave her soon-to-be husband, Brad Pitt, a helicopter as a gift at their house in France. Sources said Jolie also installed a helipad on the grounds of their property for the helicopter. The A-list actress decided to surprise Pitt with the expensive toy because of his love of flying. Reports state that Pitt was very happy with the extravagant gift from his girl.

The celebrity couple recently confirmed they are now engaged and are set to be married soon. Pitt is such a lucky man for having a beautiful and generous woman in his life.

American singer/actress Hilary Duff is one proud and happy mother these days.

Duff recently showed the world a picture of her son on her Twitter page. The 24-year-old celebrity made the gesture to show people she dearly loves her son and is very proud to be a first-time mother.

According to reports, Duff posted the picture on Mother’s Day. In a recent interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Duff revealed that she is more inspired to work and live because of her son, Luca, who is seven weeks old. The young star is married to Mike Comrie.
