The stars of Modern Family have decided to up their ante, and are asking for a substantial raise now that they have stuck with the fame needle.
Castmembers Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet and Sofia Vergara were paid in the $65,000-an-episode range for the 22-episode third season, according to sources, a fee that was bumped up from the first two seasons last summer. (Stonestreet was making merely $20,000 an episode or so for the first season, when he won an Emmy, one of 11 wins for the series.) Ed O’Neill, who came to Modern Family after success on Married … With Children and other series, makes in the $105,000 range an episode, plus a small backend he receives for agreeing to cut his quote to join the series in 2009. (O’Neill was considered the “get” when Modern Family was casting, taking on the patriarch role when Craig T. Nelson passed.)
Now the series is heading into its all-important fourth season, when casts often renegotiate their contracts, scoring big paydays in exchange for agreeing to extend original seven-year deals by an additional year or two so the studio can generate bigger syndication revenue. One source suggested the cast could ask for a jump to the $200,000-an-episode range for season four, which would be on par with the three stars of CBS’ The Big Bang Theory when they re-upped after their show’s third season in 2010. Reps will seek additional boosts of $50,000 to $100,000 for subsequent seasons, but 20th is likely to resist opening the vault for a cast with twice as many leads as the Big Bang trio.
Looks like there may be a little romance going on between Ashton Kutcher and Rihanna…

I thought Miley’s first love was weed, but I might be wrong. Word on the streets is that Miley and her old man, Liam Hemsworth might be engaged.
Miley, 19, posted a photo of her new manicure on Twitter yesterday, but it wasn’t the color of her nail polish we were looking at. We couldn’t stop staring at the huge diamond ring on her finger!
“I am soooo obsessed with @jennahipp nail foundations! It looks so chic and classic!” Miley Tweeted, along with the picture, which prominently shows off the ring.
And if Liam did get down on one knee, we’re not surprised. An insider told OK! that The Hunger Games hunk, 22, and Miley have been talking about getting engaged for a while now!
“They’re still keeping it a big secret, but they’re seriously talking marriage,” the source revealed to OK!. “Liam is crazy about her.”
Crazy about her or just crazy? 19′s a bit young to be tying the know, but what do I know.

“Dean, Liam, Stella, Hattie, and I are beyond thrilled to announce that another little McDermott is on the way,” she writes on her website in a blog post titled “Baby Makes 6!” “We feel truly blessed that another angel has found us. Love, Tori xoxo.”
Spelling, 38, welcomed her youngest daughter Hattie in Oct. 2011. She and husband Dean McDermott, 45, are also parents to son Liam, 5, and daughter Stella, 3.
