Although he is primarily known in the music scene, 50 Cent has now become something of a diet and fitness guru. The rapper-turned-businessman has just released a new book, Formula 50, which promises a transformation in as little as six weeks.
Co-authored with Jeff O’Connell and published by the Penguin Group,the guide contains info on the benefits of a protein-rich diet and short but intense workouts. The book also includes complete meal plans for men and women.
To put together this ‘healthy’ project, 50 Cent worked with professional trainer Joe Dowdell, respected nutritionist Stephanie Wilson, and Layne Norton, a bodybuilder with a doctorate in nutritional sciences.
50 Cent started to become inspired with working out after he was shot in 2000. That experience had become the catalyst for his passion for fitness and healthy eating. And we definitely see the benefit—an awesome ripped physique!
