Claire Danes and her husband British actor Hugh Dancy welcome their firstborn—a son named Cyrus Michael Christopher. The actress gave birth on Monday, December 17, her rep confirmed to People.

This has been a great year for the 33-year-old actress, winning an Emmy for her role in the hit TV show Homeland and snagging nods for the upcoming Golden Globe and SAG Awards.

The couple met on the set of the film Evening in 2006. They were married in 2009. The actress announced her pregnancy in July after three years of marriage.

A beautiful holiday present for the first-time parents he is. Baby Cyrus Michael Christopher, welcome to the Homeland!
