His mother is Gloria Vanderbilt, the famed designer of blue jeans!
Talking to Stacy London, co-host of TLC’s What Not To Wear, on December 6, Anderson Cooper reveals he wears the same jeans every day and rarely washes them—something we thought only good ol’ cousin Mike would do.
Why is that so when he looks…uhm..dashing on TV? Like we used to watch CNN because of him!
Anderson admits his actual wardrobe doesn’t have much variety. He says:
“I wear the same thing everyday these are TV clothes these are not my actual real clothes. In my real life I wear a t-shirt, grey or white, same pair of jeans. Literally, the same pair of jeans everyday.”
So, where did he pick up his laundry habit?
The CNN anchor explains:
“I went to this store APC which has really nice stuff. And you buy these things and the person said to me like don’t wash them for a long time. They mean like six months, I think.”
So, how does he wash his jeans?
The host admits he just walks into the shower in his jeans, slaps on some soap, and that’s it.
“So the times I’ve washed my jeans, maybe twice in six months… I’ve worn them and walked into my shower with them and put some soap on them and then air dried them.”
Ms. London is right when she says:
“I have to say six months is probably a little long.”
Yes, between washes, that’s forever.
We believe in preserving the integrity of your denims, like you’re not supposed to soak them overnight in soapy water and other sensible tips. Some even suggest putting them in the freezer to keep the color. But honestly, would you go through such trouble (and yuck) just to preserve your jeans? Go buy a pair.
We should warn everybody this isn’t for people who work in the garden all day.
