There’s no denying it anymore… these two might be back together.

Last month at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, the former couple made headlines when they blatantly showed the whole world that they were more than just friends with a congratulatory kiss and hug session after Rihanna won the award for “Video of the Year.”

But this time, it looks like they’re stepping it up even further.

On Monday, the seemingly on-again couple was spotted getting cozy with each other at Griffin nightclub in New York’s Meatpacking District.

An eyewitness tells Celebuzz:

“[They were] hugging and kissing, and they went to the back of the club alone together.”

According to reports, Rihanna arrived at Griffin just five minutes before Chris showed up with his pals, and though they settled down at separate tables, the “Turn Up The Music” singer eventually made his way to his ex-girlfriend’s table, where he promptly took off his shirt and started dancing for her.

The two then proceeded to get hot and heavy on the dance floor and, at one point, disappeared together in the club’s bathroom for a whole 20 minutes.

Seems pretty obvious what they were doing in there…

After all the kissing and flirting and hiding out in bathrooms, Rihanna and Chris eventually left the club—separately.

But it appears that the separate departure was only a ruse, because a few hours later, Chris was photographed leaving the Gansevoort Hotel, where Rihanna has been staying these past few days.

Meanwhile, Chris’ girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, who appears to have heard about her man’s canoodling with his ex, tweeted:

“There’s a difference between a man and a boy… I prefer men.”

Poor Karrueche. Do you think this means she’s finally going to dump Chris?
