It was sure a bittersweet pregnancy and giving birth for Kayte Grammer.

Kelsey and Kayte Grammer announced that Kayte has given birth to their new daughter, Faith Evangeline Elisa. However, the baby’s arrival was bittersweet for the couple, as they were previously expecting twins. The couple said in a statement about the new baby, who weighs 6 pounds and 2 ounces:

We are thrilled. Mother and child are in excellent health.

They later add:

Tragically, we lost the little boy shortly thereafter. This was not something we cared to make known publicly at the time. It was unspeakably painful and we know that people will understand our desire to keep the news private then, as we know they will respect our privacy in this matter now.

Despite this, the Grammers, who got hitched February of last year, say that they are now just focusing on moving on from their loss. They later say:

A glorious birth with a lingering sadness is ours today. We choose to celebrate the life that has been given us. We proudly announce Faith to the world today, looking forward to the days ahead and the children yet to come.

Nonetheless, congratulations! But our condolences are also yours.
