Usher apparently has a fan that has almost certainly gone crazy.
The R&B singer got a temporary restraining order against a 26-year-old woman who showed up at his Atlanta home and told the police that she was the singer’s wife. According to the documents filed in Fulton County Superior Court, the actions of the woman, Darshelle Jones-Rakestraw, left Usher ”in reasonable fear for his own safety and/or the safety of his immediate family.”
But the woman argues that the singer knows her and that she is not a stalker. Jones-Rakestraw posted a video last Wednesday in which she claims that she saved the voicemails Usher has left her since they met in 2011. The woman says that she showed up in person to answer the voicemails that the singer has been leaving.
The complaint says that Jones-Rakestraw first showed up on Saturday, and the cops asked her to leave and not return. She came back the next day and told the officers that she was Mrs. Usher Raymond and that she had misplaced her keys. The excuse didn’t work with the police, and she was detained for trespassing.
The woman claimed that she and Usher have been “exchanging finances through Western Union and Bank of America” since February 2011. She also says that the R&B singer confides in her about things ranging from his headaches to his fight for custody of his children. Jones-Rakestraw claimed Usher agreed to help her find a house and that’s why he’s been giving her money. She also stated:
“I am in love with Mr. Raymond, but I do not appreciate the fact that he has tried to charge me with stalking.”
Finally, she added that the singer has “defamed her character” and she is “deeply disgruntled and hurt.” Calls to Usher’s camp have yet to be returned.
