Fallen star Whitney Houston, who died in February 2012, had just finished her long-awaited “comeback” movie with American Idol winner, Jordin Sparks when she passed away. The movie, Sparkle, is a remake of the 1977, rags-to-riches, musical family movie starring Lonette McKee and Irene Cara.
Houston co-stars with Sparks, who plays her daughter, along with other huge names like Derek Luke, Mike Epps, and Cee Lo Green in the movie. Sparkle isn’t scheduled to hit theaters until August 17, 2012, but the producers decided to go ahead and unveil Houston’s final song from the movie yesterday. The song, “Celebrate,” is a duet sung by Houston and Sparks. It was produced by R. Kelly and will be available on iTunes starting June 5th.
Take a listen to the song and tell me what you think.
