It seems two boy bands will really be battling it out, not on the Billboard charts of most number one singles but on the court!
Well, it seems there are two boy bands named “One Direction” one in UK and the lesser known one in the US, and it really does not sit well with the Stateside “One Direction” group and so they filed a lawsuit.
As per American group, they claimed they were formed exactly a year before their UK counterparts did and they already had quite a following, plus they also filed to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office their trademark “One Direction.”
The Americans are asking the American courts to tell the British group to change their name as well as demanding a million in damages from Simon Cowell’s record label and Sony.
It is safe to say that after all of this legal brawl, may it be an off court settlement or a court order, only other direction of one boy bad group will be going down.
