It seems like not everyone likes to see Jessica Simpson posing on her birthday suit along with her big baby bump because that happened at a Tucson Safeway store.
Reportedly the magazine cover of the pregnant star was too much for some store customers that one employee went on to just cover the April edition with cardboard.
Safefy Inc. director of corporate public affairs explained though that, “The sign was up for a short time and removed,” Teena Massingill, director of corporate public affairs for Safeway Inc. This was one store employee’s response to some customer complaints. This was by no means a company-wide directive.”
Elle people defended their choice of the cover saying, “We’ve received an overwhelmingly positive response to Jessica Simpson’s cover,” it said. “She’s celebrating her body during this joyous time in her life and we couldn’t be happier for her.”
What could’ve been the customers comments could have drove the Safeway employee to cover it up.
