As a fan of the true James Bond a.k.a. Sean Connery, it scares me to deliver this news to you. Daniel Craig is set to be the longest serving 007 of all time, as he has been offered a multi-million pound deal for the role. Craig will star in EIGHT James Bond movies, topping Roger Moore who did seven Bond movies spanned 12 years. Okay that’s not exactly ‘forever’ but long enough.
Bond producer Michael G Wilson is showing love to Craig, saying: “Daniel’s been a terrific Bond, a superb actor and a terrific man. The fans love him and I don’t think there’s a better actor to play the part.”
He also said that he’d love for Craig to surpass Moore’s record in filming James Bond movies:
“Filming has gone very well so far and I’d love Daniel to surpass Roger’s record and do eight pictures. Daniel’s been an absolute pleasure to be around because he takes the role so seriously. There’s really no one more passionate about making these films work than him – he’s a film maker’s dream.
“A lot of people have said Daniel’s been their favourite Bond since Sean Connery and I can’t argue with them. He’s doing a great job.”
Yeah he is. But I still think he lacks the debonaire aspect of Bond-ness.
