The year 2011 is one huge year for controversial American singing superstar Lady Gaga.
Aside from the various issues thrown at her this year, the “Born This Way” singer also got the honor as the top earning female singer for 2011.

According to the survey made by the luxury website Forbes.com, Gaga top the list after she earned a whopping $90 million income this year.
Part of the huge earnings of Gaga this year is the estimated $1.3 million nightly gross ticket sales from her concert tour.
Taking the second spot in the prestigious list is American singing sweetheart Taylor Swift who earned $45 million, majority of whom from her hit album “Speak Now”, perfume line, and other deals.
The third spot went to American singing star Katy Perry who earned a close $44 million.
Also making the list were Beyonce who earned $35 million, mostly because of her relatively small amount of touring this year.
R&B star Rihanna also made it to the top 5, after earning an estimated $29 million from sales of her album “Loud”, and endorsements from cosmetics company CoverGirl.
To these singing ladies, great job for 2011 girls!
