Katy Perry is currently tied with Michael Jackson for having the most number one singles from one album. The pop star has five successful single from her album “Teenage Dream”, and it looks like she might be adding another single into the number one position and make music history.

If you check at the iTunes Top Songs chart, Katy Perry’s “The One That Got Away” is the only single in the Top 10 with a 69 cents price tag. Is it a holiday season promo or an effort to propel the single into number one of the Hot 100?

Well, I don’t know what Perry’s camp is doing, but what I do know is if Perry managed to get “The One That Got Away” into number 1 of the Top 10, she will zoom past Michael Jackson who has 5 #1 singles off one album. If she can get the single into the Top 10, she will be in a league with artists such as Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Bruce Springsteen and George Michael who have had six Top 10s off one LP.

The question is: will Katy Perry get away with it?
