So Santana from Glee is a lesbian, that we know by now. But we’re in for more: a mother-daughter bonding. EW reported that beautiful Latina singer, Gloria Estefan, is in talks to play the Cheerio’s mother on the series.

I don’t really know about Estefan’s acting skills, but I do know we’re in for some great music. Naya Rivera who plays Santana will be sharing camera time with Estefan in an episode due to air January. From where I’m sitting, this will probably be one of the hottest Glee episodes as Ricky Martin will also guest star as McKinley High’s Spanish teacher.

Parents role are getting big in Glee, as co-creator Ryan Murphy stated that there’s an increasing number of viewers who want to meet the characters’ parents.

“Across the board, a huge amount of fans want to see parents. That’s not to say we’re going to heavily feature them, but I think it’s interesting to see some of them – not all of them.”

I say keep ‘em coming. We need more legends coming back to television. Those who are not on crack, especially. Whitney, do you copy?
