DWTS alum, Lacey Schwimmer, is defending her soon to be partner on the show, Chaz Bono against criticism over the controversial celebrity’s choice to appear on the show.

“It’s disappointing. No human is perfect, so why are they pointing out what they perceive to be an imperfection in someone else? It’s not cool. We’re all taught to not bully, or harass, and treat everyone as equals yet all these people are doing exactly the opposite,”

This comes after fans reacted negatively on ABC’s selection of Chaz for DWTS and following severl jokes made by late night show hosts.

Chaz, born a girl, to Sonny and Cher changed his gender to male after undergoing extensive medical procedures.
