After years of starring in front of the camera, Courtney Cox is making a move to get behind the lens when she directs an upcoming episode of Cougartown.

The one-time star of “Friends” and now lead on “Cougar Town,” Cox won’t just feature on camera this season — she’ll get a chance to call the shots from behind it, too. TVGuide reports — and The Hollywood Reporter confirms — that Cox will direct one of the show’s new episodes. She’s already an executive producer, and has directed a film short in 2008′s “The Monday Before Thanksgiving.”

Hey at this rate, anybody can be a director! (not really) But congrats to Cox, it’s a smart move if you want to keep working because no one keeps their looks forever!
