Former Bachelorette star Ali Fedotowsky was supposed to have been a married woman by now, but a leg injury forced her to postpone her wedding to fiancé Roberto Martinez. Fedotowsky fractured her femur while kickboxing in June. She underwent surgery the following month.
“We had a date set, and that date has now passed,” Fedotowsky tells People magazine.
The 26-year-old admits it was a tough decision, but says she did not want to “limp down the aisle.”
“The decision to postpone [the wedding] was very difficult. I definitely shed some tears,” Fedotowsky tells People. “In my mind, Roberto is my husband,” she adds. “We live together; we do everything together; we plan for the future together; we fight just like a good old married couple. The only thing that’s not saying “I’m married” is another ring on my finger and a piece of paper.”
