Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester has filed a lawsuit against her mother, Constance Meester. The lawsuit says the 25-year-old actress sends Constance $7,500 for the care of her younger brother Lex, who has severe medical problems. Meester claims instead of using the money for Lex, Constance spent it on plastic surgery, hair extensions and other person expenses.

In addition to the misuse of Lex’s funds, Constance allegedly threatened to sue Leighton for $3 million if the actress did not give her $10,000 a month. Leighton denies Constance’s claim that they had an “oral contract” about the allowance increase and wants the judge to rule the contract never existed.

This is not the first set of legal problems for Constance. She gave birth to Leighton while serving time in federal prison for her participation in a drug smuggling ring.
