Earlier this week, Matt Bellamy announced he and Kate Hudson named their son Bingham Hawn. The announcement sparked speculation on the meaning behind the name Bingham, and now Bellamy is giving fans an explanation.

“For those wondering, Bingham is my mum’s maiden name,” the Muse frontman Tweeted. “Bing Russell was also Kurt [Russell's] dad. Family connections all around!”

Hudson has previously say she views Kurt Russell, her mother’s longtime partner, as her father. The actress does not have a relationship with her biological father, actor and comedian Bill Hudson.
