Jewel and Ty Murray became first-time parents on Monday, a rep for the couple tells People magazine. Jewel gave birth to a healthy baby boy named Kase Townes at 7 p.m. Kase weighed in at 7 lbs., 60 oz.
“Ty and I are so pleased to welcome our new baby boy into the world,” Jewel, 36 tells People. “We are overcome with happiness – it really is as great as everyone told us it would be – better even!”
Jewel and Murray is not the only celebrity couple to welcome a baby this week — Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy welcomed a son on Saturday while David and Victoria Beckham welcomed a baby girl on Sunday.
