Actor Billy Bob Thornton’s daughter, Amanda Brumfeld, was convicted of aggravated manslaughter in the 2008 death of a 1-year-old girl in Orlando, Florida.

Brumfeld, 32, was babysitting her best friend’s child, Olivia Garcia, overnight in October 2008 when she claimed the little girl hit her head while attempting to climb out of her playpen; prosecutors deemed it “impossible” that a fall from such a short height could cause a 3.5-inch fracture on the child’s skull.

Her sentencing is expected this July.
