Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds have confirmed they are ending their two year marriage. In a statement released Tuesday, the pair said their decision to split was made with “love and kindness.”
“After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we’ve decided to end our marriage. We entered our relationship with love and it’s with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn’t expected, it’s certainly appreciated,” Johansson and Reynolds said.
An insider claimed Johansson initiated the split 6 months ago. “The big problem with their relationship is the distance,” says a source. “They spent a lot of time apart when they are working…She’s been unhappy for a while.”
Johannson, 26, and Reynolds, 34, began dating in 2007 and tied the knot in September 2008.
