Simpson was seen flashing a “sizable ring” on her left hand at an appearance Saturday in Kansas City. Sources confirmed to Us Magazine early this morning that the 30-year-old singer and her beau Eric Johnson got engaged on Thursday!
Simpson and Johnson began dating in May after being introduced by friends. They’ve been nearly inseparable ever since.
The news comes less than 2 weeks after the announcement that Nick Lachey, Simpson’s ex-husband, popped the question to his girlfriend of nearly 5 years, Vanessa Minnillo. Simpson and Lachey split in 2005 after 3 years of marriage.
I don’t know if it’s the fact that she got engaged 2 weeks after her ex husband get’s engaged, or the fact that her relationship with Eric has been going on for only 6 months or she’s just so desperate to be married and start a family before her ex does, is just patheticly funny. Come on Jess, have some pride will you? Can’t wait to see how this all plays out.
