For the first time a same sex couple will be on Dancing With The Stars (can you say ratings blitz!), but don’t get too excited, it will be on the Israeli version of the show.
It’s Israeli TV personality and sports journalist Gili Shem Tov and professional dancer Dorit Milman. They begin competing later this month on the Israeli version of the international dance hit originally launched in the U.K. by the BBC.
“I have realized that dance is about coordination and energy between two people, whether female or male. The challenge to dance with a woman in a public contest interested me because it’s unique and has never been done before,” she said. “Because I share my life with a woman and have a family with her, to me this is the most natural thing to do.”
