Angelina Pivarnick of the hit MTV reality TV show “Jersey Shore” told police on Friday that she was attacked at a mall in Staten Island. According to a report from TMZ.com, the 22-year-old on-again, off-again “Jersey Shore” cast member claims that somebody struck her in the back of the head while she was at a Hot Topic at the Staten Island Mall. Sources close to Angelina told TMZ that Ms. Pivarnick was confronted by a “rowdy group” of people and then assaulted by someone from behind.

But mall security said that things went down a bit differently. According to them, some people were filming Angelina when the crowd got too hectic and someone accidentally hit Angelina in her face. Mall security then ordered the rowdy group of kids to leave the store.

But sources close to Angelina are sticking to their story, saying that she has a welt on the back of her head that proves the attack.
