Katy Perry and Russell Brand tied the knot in India on Saturday (October 23). The couple took to their Twitter to post the above Twitpic along with a message “WE DID!”

With nearly eighty guests watching on, the singer and her comedian actor beau said their “I Do’s” at the swanky Aman-i-Khas resort in Rajasthan.

The bride wore a stylish Elie Saab gown tha was dove grey with lace sleeves.

A statement released by the couple said,

Katy and Russell were pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Brand on Saturday, October 23. The very private and spiritual ceremony, attended by the couples’ closest family and friends was performed by a Christian minister and longtime friend of the Hudson Family. The backdrop was the inspirational and majestic countryside of Northern India.”

Previously talking with the NY Times about getting married, Brand said,

“We just love each other and we want to get married in front of our friends and family and keep it very normal. It ain’t about selling the pictures, it ain’t about doing no pre-nup, it’s just a normal thing. I’m trying to preserve it, to keep it a beautiful thing. I think people get the wrong idea on how we want the wedding to play out. Love between two people is the most spectacular, yet ordinary thing in the world.”
