Christina Aguilera has filed for divorce. In court papers filed Thursday, the singer cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. Aguilera lists the date of separation as September 11.
Aguilera is requesting earnings “before marriage, during marriage and from and after the date of separation” be considered separate property. She is also seeking joint legal and physical custody of their 2-year-old son Max.
Aguilera announced her split from Bratman earlier this week. “Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever,” she told People magazine.
