NBC has reportedly offered Jennifer Aniston $50 million to produce and star in a new sitcom. A source says Aniston is carefully considering whether a return to TV would help or hurt her career.
“She’s being offered a staggering $2m an episode if with a guarantee of 24 shows, plus a signing bonus,” claims an insider. “But one of Jen’s biggest fears is if she accepts the NBC deal and the series fails, she’ll be an instant Hollywood has-been. It’s a huge gamble for her. So is going back to TV. She fears people will see it as a desperate step back.”
Aniston recently made a guest appearance on ABC’s Cougar Town, which stars her bff Courteney Cox.
