Paris Hilton has been charged with felony drug possession and faces up to 4 years in prison if she is convicted. The charges stem from a weekend arrest in Las Vegas. Police found .8 grams of cocaine, cigarette wrappers and a broken tablet of Albuterol in the socialite’s purse.

Hilton was searched after the car she was riding in was pulled over and an officer smelled marijuana in the vehicle. The 29-year-old’s boyfriend, Cy Waits, was also arrested.

“This matter will be dealt with in the courts, not in the media, and I encourage people not to rush to judgment until all of the facts have been dealt with in a court of law,” Hilton’s attorney, David Chesnoff, said in a statement Saturday.
