‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ star Teresa Giudice and her husband, Joe, boast of having big bucks on the Bravo show, but bankruptcy court records show the pair have nearly $11 million in various debts, the New York Post is reporting.
According to papers filed in Newark federal court, the free-spending Guidice’s claim to only make $79,000 a year between the two of them, but are unable to handle the foreclosures and hefty credit card bills.
The court document lists their money woes in detail:
- The bank has moved to foreclose on their $1.8 million home in Towaco, NJ.
- Banks have taken their Jersey Shore house along with another home in Lincoln Park, NJ.
- Teresa owes $12,000 to a fertility clinic.
- They’ve defaulted on payments for their Escalade.
- Joe personally owes $5 million to former partners of real estate deals.
On ‘Housewives,’ Giudice once spent $2,000 in a 10-minute shopping spree for her daughters, but in bankruptcy papers she claims to spend just $400 on clothes a month!
Recent episodes of the show have also shown their daughter’s lavish 9th birthday party where their daughter Gia “got an all-terrain vehicle, along with a trip to the spa in a pink stretch limo for her and her friends.”
The court papers list Joe’s monthly income at the stucco and stone company he owns at $3,250. Teresa earns $3,333 from Bravo.

There is a meeting for shoppers anonymous, she really needs to wake up and see what she’s done.
Willa, I couldn’t agree more. I knew Joe was in construction, and always wondered how they managed to live so large when the rest of that industry has been suffering for the past few years. I guess for them keeping up appearances means more than living within your means.
