It’s official: Britney Spears has just become the top Twitter account, surpassing longtime Twitter king Ashton Kutcher by a handful of followers at the time of this post.
One year ago, Ashton Kutcher beat CNN in the race to 1 million followers and continued to have the most followers in the Twitterverse. Until now!
Britney doesn’t tweet herself. Her team does it for her and her manager Adam Leber chimes in semi-often even though he has an account of his own. Brit also tweets an average of 1.7 tweets/day while Ashton averages 11.2.
Today, Ashton has been at a press junket for his new movie called Killers. He tweeted, “Second most pop question [has been] ‘What do you think about Britney having more followers than you?’ Answer: ‘I don’t care. Aren’t you suppose to be a movie reporter?’”

So is it me, or is she blatantly promoting things for money like the Kardashian’s do? Why would anyone want to follow her when she doesn’t hide the fact that she isn’t even the one tweeting?
I was surprised by that too! I am sure not many people are aware.
There’s no stopping Britney! But Ashton sure sounds bitter.
It’s not must you Mistyblue, She and her manager does this more often than not. It’s always a promotion about something. Her manager tweets for her. Her handelers wouldn’t allow her to tweet without checking what she’s writing first.
