Lady Gaga has been rumored to be celibate, and now she is encouraging her fans to do the same!

“I can’t believe I’m saying this – don’t have sex,” Gaga said in England, where she is promoting MAC’s Viva Glam Campaign to fight AIDS. “It’s okay not to have sex, it’s okay to get to know people,” she says. “I’m celibate, celibacy’s fine.”

I’m gonna go on a serious mature (ok an attempt at mature) note and give her props for standing up for her beliefs. EVERYthing in our culture is inundated with sex, so it’s cool to see someone stand up and say “hey, it’s cool if you don’t want to have sex.” I’m sure she just gained like 3,200 Mormon fans overnight.
