Heidi Montag’s mom is said to be “horrified” of the 23-year-old’s new cosmetic surgery. A source close to the family says Darlene Egelhoff had a breakdown after learning of Montag’s surgeries, which she kept secret from family and friends.

Egelhoff is “horrified and having a total breakdown. She can’t wait to confront Heidi when she goes home,” says the insider. “I still can’t believe I’m 23 and mom is reacting this way. I’m nervous to go home and face her – especially with cameras rolling,” adds Montag.

The confrontation will be filmed for the upcoming season of The Hills.
